Founded in 2011 by Des Moines, Iowa Oncologist Dr. Richard Deming, Above + Beyond Cancer takes cancer survivors on incredible adventures. Above + Beyond Cancer journeys have led participants to places like Mount Everest Base Camp and the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, but their work isn’t about getting to the tops of mountains. Through their transformational journeys, their participants inspire the public by devoting themselves to a life of advocacy and leading an example for healthy living and cancer prevention in their communities.

Since 1979 Bike World has been central Iowa's source for bikes, accessories and the knowledge to help you ride more and have more fun doing it. Originally just a few hundred square feet in that basement, Bike World’s 3 shops now total almost 50,000 square feet of bicycles, accessories and service. Starting with one store in Des Moines, Bike World now serves central Iowa with 3 stores: Urbandale, Ames and of course the newly-opened spacious West Des Moines shop.
